Leinster May have been a small blip last weekend, but we still got a treble up with Saints, Clermont and Glasgow all doing the business for us. We play doubles and a treble again this week, with three games I think we are well ahead on the handicapper.

In addition to that we have already greened up on our 2 tournament winner bets, with Toulouse now best priced at 9/2 from 15/2 and Clermont best priced 13/2 from 15/2

Ulster vs Clermont 22/11/19 19:45 kick off

Ulster got off to a scratchy start but got the win over Bath last weekend, they will be no walkover Friday night. But do they have the ability to stand up to the threats Clermont have all over the park? No. Clermont showed how good they really are last weekend, a talented Quin’s team were destroyed by a ruthless and clinical French team who I really think could go all the way this year. When you have destroyers like Yato and Raka in the team, anything can happen, from anywhere on the park

Clermont -2 handicap Evs bet365, others shorter (lost)

Benetton Rugby vs Northampton Saints 23/11/19 13:00 kick off

Were Leinster bad or Treviso good last weekend, I’ve rewatched the match and decided it was a bit of both. Leinster were 19 points clear after 44 mins. At that point I was very happy, but Treviso grew into the game once it was already lost, and were unlucky not to get closer in the end. But they were not clinical and looked as if they were just there to try and restrict Leinster. Saints on the other hand put in a very professional performance for 60 mins before the bench didn’t have the effect they hoped for. Where they should have been gunning for the bonus point they let Lyon back into the game. There is a gulf between these two sides though, and frankly I think the handicap is an insult to a Saints team who look a bit special at the moment

Northampton Saints -4 handicap 10/11 most major bookies (lost)

Toulouse vs Connaught 23/11/19 13:00 kick off

I was so impressed with the 2nd half performance by Toulouse last Friday, to fight their way back into the game and get that gutsy win was stuff of champions. They should win again this weekend and I would be disappointed if they didn’t. But the Irish boys are having a very good season so far, they had a very good win at home to Montpellier last weekend and will be full of confidence for their trip to France. They may not get the win, but they will be competitive for the full 80 minutes, and be a lot closer at the final whistle than the handicap suggests

Connaught +21 handicap 10/11 most major bookies – WON

Play the doubles and Treble this weekend, and enjoy another top weekend of European Rugby
