The Long awaited Premiership season is back, there is a couple of cracking live games on tv and we are covering all three of them in our bet this week.
Bristol vs Bath 18/10/19 7:45pm BST
A West Country derby to start the season off, what more could you ask for. Pat Lam will again make any team coming to Bristol have to play to a stunning level to beat them. They will put sides under pressure, and if they get the ball wide, they can make any team in Europe look silly. The game plan will be to move this Bath team around and keep the ball away from their forward pack. Bath on the other hand as we have seen already in the Premiership rugby cup will build their season around their forwards, very much in the England mould, and with a few game breakers, look to take advantage once they have teams under pressure. Unfortunately their top backs are all in Japan, so this is is good time to play them and Bristol WILL get off to a winning start!
Bristol -4 handicap 10/11 (most major bookies) – WON
Saracens vs Northampton 19/10/19 3:00pm BST
Champions vs semi finalists. Saints start this season full of hope, but with players starting the season injured in key positions and missing key cogs throughout the team because of the world cup they are fully reliant on the youth stepping up. Against most others sides I would be confident they can do it. But with this Saracens squad, it doesn’t seem to mater who they play, they have enough strength in depth to deal with any side. They met 2 weeks ago at Franklin’s gardens, and although the 1st half was close, Sarries shone through in the end running away very convincing winners scoring 50 points. At home, 1st game of the season in front of a sell out crowd, there will be no mistakes, and it will be a comfortable day for the Champs
Saracens -11 handicap 10/11 (most major bookies) – (lost)
Wasps vs London Irish 20/10/19 3:00pm BST
Once again Dai Young has been struck with an injury plague, that with players away at the World Cup, he is having to pick from the bare bones of his squad. Irish have looked good in the Premiership rugby cup in recent weeks and will really like their chances of causing an upset and kicking off their season with a win against a potentially scratch Wasps team. With some great summer signings they will be competitive all season and if they could nick a win 1st up it would be a huge boost to them, the gap on the handicap give us a lot to play with so play that and if you are feeling really brave have a go and the London Irish win
London Irish +12 handicap 10/11 (most major bookies) – WON
London Irish win 9/2 (betfair, others shorter) – WON
enjoy the 1st week, don’t play big, it’s a long season. But this gives us interest and what should be profit in the 1st weekend
