Round 7, and time to see who ate too much Turkey over the last few days. Some very intriguing matches this weekend and a chance for a few New Years markers to be placed.

Northampton vs Gloucester 28/12/19 14:00ko

A poor show last weekend up in Salford for Saints, they gave a soft lead away twice and then couldn’t get enough of a foothold in the game to turn the score line on its head, not through lack of trying, it was just mistakes at crucial points that cost them, and in front of a sell out Franklin’s gardens this weekend they have some making up to do for their fans. Gloucesters topsy turvy season continues, one week they are competitive, the next they aren’t. Saints will just have too much across the park for them

Northampton -6 handicap 10/11 most major bookies (WON)

Bath vs Sale 28/12/19 15:00ko

Bath continue to be an enigma wrapped in a riddle, they are a side full of quality but lack the winning mentality, always in games but struggle time after time to get over the line. Where as Sale seemed to turn a corner last weekend, they welcomed players back from injury and seemed to click and be able to snuff out attacks when they looked sure to develop and also took their chances when on to turn up and walk away with their first away win since September

Sale +3 handicap 10/11most major bookies (WON)

Exeter vs Saracens 29/12/19 15:00ko

What a game this could be, defending champs and bottom of the league vs top of the league and runners up last 2 seasons. Exeter have been very vocal since Sarries fine was dished out and will want to back up their chat. But Sarries have looked to be able to move their game to a new level in recent weeks, taking teams apart as and when they decide to push the button. Yes Exeter will be a tougher proposition than Bristol last weekend, but it would still expect to see them win

Saracens -1 handicap 10/11 most major bookies (lost)

play the doubles and trebles on these this weekend

also for a bit of interest on Friday night I’d take a chance on this being a bit of a tryfest with two sides who like to play expansive rugby, so play both of the below

Bristol vs Wasps 27/12/19 7:45 ko

Charles Piutau to score 2 or more tries in match 10/1 BP with Betfair

Dan Robson to score 2 or more tries in match 25/1 BP with Betfair

enjoy all
