Good morning rugby fans, not a bad run last weekend, in the end let down by Baths indiscipline. You can’t afford to play 30 minutes of rugby with 13 men, 10 of that with 12 men on the park and expect to win, and to only lose by 3 was amazing. Saints as expected were superb, playing some incredible attacking rugby. This weekend we are spoilt for choice, and I won’t bombard you with endless bets for the sake of having a bet, but with the ones I feel are going to win us money. Which means a Friday handicap double
London Irish vs Cardiff Blues 2/4/21 17:30ko
With no relegation in the English Premiership this season, we have seen some freedom in the way Irish have played. I keep ranting on about Paddy Jackson, but honestly he has been superb for them this season and some of the older heads in their squad like Creevey and O Brien have added so much to the younger members of the squad allowing them to progress. Their backline can score from anywhere on the park and if Hassle Collins was playing for a more attractive team he would be in the England set up for sure. Cardiff welcome back a couple of their Wales contingent and will be a fair match for Irish up front. But I don’t think they will be able to offer enough in the backline to consistently trouble Irish. This is a great chance for Irish to compete for some silverware this year as I think they are just a touch too far back in the Prem to reach the top 4 now. So expect them to leave nothing on the park today in their quest for a trophy.
London Irish to win EVS best price with several bookies (2 point win)
Gloucester vs La Rochelle 2/4/21 20:00 ko
Gloucester are off the back of a bonus point win last weekend, but I wouldn’t read too much into that. They were up against an Exeter 2nd team and butchered chance after chance just as they have all season. It took them 70 minutes to put the game to bed, which was really disappointing. La Rochelle are flying in the Top 14, sitting 2nd and having a good season, they have a great chance here to put down a marker at the start of the weekend to let others know they are serious about this cup. They have a very Kiwi based starting 15 with a strong connection at 8/9/10. And if their starting 15 doesn’t look strong enough they have a wealth of French internationals sitting on the bench to come on and take the game away from Gloucester in the last 30. I fully expect this to be a one sided victory with the French outfit running away easy winners in the 2nd half.
La Rochelle -6 handicap 10/11 with skybet and Will hill, others showing -5 points or shorter price (3 point win)
play the singles to build the bank but also double up (2 point win) for the good win, plenty more to come over this bumper bank holiday weekend. Enjoy and check in for more winners tomorrow
