Good morning rugby fans,

After a weekend which didn’t quite go to plan we are looking to bounce back. Last night saw an epic encounter between the top 2, where Exeter came out on top, their defensive effort to slow and disrupt Bristol won the match for sure. But it was never going to be a game I would advice a bet on last night. There are some good options today though. Hopefully you had a small play on Saints at 25/1 last week, as they should continue that climb up to the play off spots today.

London Irish vs Harlequins 24/4/21 12:30 ko

An exciting game in prospect today with a nice local derby. Two exciting sides who love to play and open attacking style of rugby. Irish have had a cracking season up to this point, and have looked very exciting, but against the really top sides in this league they haven’t quite been able to match them. And this will be the case again today. Quins have looked irresistible in recent weeks. They should have beaten both Bristol and Exeter, and are ripping other sides to shreds with their broken field game. Every player has bought into the way they want to play the game, and are really enjoying themselves. Whenever there is a break made there are 3-4 options for an offload going through the gaps with them. I am not sure why Alex Dombrandt isn’t being mentioned as a flyer for the Lions. He offers so much, but continues to be overlooked and yet he offers so much to everyone he plays with. Hopefully Mr Gatland will make the trip today.  Quins will just have too much for Irish today. This match is also live on channel 5 for those who don’t have BT sport

Harlequins -8 handicap EVS with bet365, all other bookies showing 10/11 (3 point win) – Lost

Leicester vs Northampton 24/4/21 15:00 ko

A fixture that never fails to disappoint. This is always one that gets marked on the calendar early in the season. Whenever these two sides get together there are sparks. It is a proper old school local derby. Borthwick  won’t have to give much of a team talk this afternoon, and Leicester are an improving side under him. But Saints just look a little bit special at the moment. There is no fear in the way they play, a bit like Quins they can score from anywhere on the park, but with decision makers like Biggar who, for me is in the form of his life and loving this style of play, they make the correct decisions most of the time. Don’t get me wrong, Tigers won’t just roll over and let them tickle their belly. This will be too and fro from the outset, but Saints have too many X factor players in their 23 to play the ring master today

Northampton -2 handicap 10/11 most major bookies (2 point win) – WON

In our other two games, I expect both Sale and Gloucester to win, but the handicap on offer looks about right to me

play the singles and double (2 point win) today, good luck and enjoy
