Morning Rugby fans,

singles and doubles landed yesterday even if it was slightly tighter than expected. Saints surprised me, after being poor the last couple of weeks, they really stepped up in front of their returning fans. And at the Stoop, we had a real topsy turvy game, where we looked very comfortable for a while after half time, and it would have been if Ben Spencer had not dropped the ball when crossing the line mid way through the 2nd half, which seemed to spur life back into Quins

Exeter vs Newcastle 30/5/21 13:30 ko

I am going to be very predictable today, and side with a heavy Exeter win. Newcastle seem to be very good at home but struggle when travelling away from Kingston Park. It doesn’t help when you are facing the double champions with a 2nd string side after making 14 changes from last weekend. Exeter come into this looking like the their old selves. They have been in stunning form the last few weeks and are building some serious momentum at the right time of the season, and it’s starting to look ominous for the others. The side they have picked is very strong looking to put on a bit of a Sunday show for their returning fans, and I will be lucky enough to be in that crowd this afternoon. It is going to be a humbling day for Newcastle who will need to fight hard in the 1st 40. If Exeter get a few points early they will destroy them, and that is what will happen. Unlike other sides, when Exeter build an easy lead, they never lose their shape or take their foot off the gas. A handicap of 34/35 points may look a lot now, but I think we could be looking at a 50 point margin this afternoon

Exeter -35 points handicap EVS with bet365, others showing 10/11 or 10/11 with 34 points (3 point win)
