Happy Easter everyone, get those egg hunts in this morning as we have an exciting afternoon of rugger ahead. So very close to landing the treble yesterday with Clermont letting us down, winning the match but what a performance in defeat by Wasps, by far their best this season. La Rochelle did what was expected running out comfortable winners and then the match of the day in Newport where Saints grabbed a late win for us in an 80 point thriller.

with 4 matches to finish the weekend we are going to keep things very simple with a win double. 2 games are a tad unpredictable. Racing 92 will win but the handicap offered seems about right to me and in the Late game, with Quins weirdly only selecting a 2nd string side, Ulster should run out comfortable winners, but a little too unpredictable on the handicap. The other two matches are priced up being close matches. Not in my head though, I have a clear winner in each.

Bordeaux vs Bristol 4/4/21 15:00 ko

The last time these two met was in the Challenge cup last season, which ended up going to extra time before Bristol taking it. But one of these slides has kicked on since then. Bristol are a true championship side now. They have soo much class on the pitch and create chances out of nothing. Even the last two weekends when they looked like losing to the two form teams in the Premiership, they managed to snatch late wins. Bordeaux have not moved forward, they sit 5th in the top 14 and have been very hit and miss this season, and even if they have a going day today then I’m not sure it’s enough to match Pat Lam’s Bristol stars.

Scarlet vs Sale 4/4/21 17:30 ko

Ok so Sale welcome back Tom Curry this week, but is one man enough to turn this good side into a great one? No. They still lack the consistency for that. Don’t get me wrong they will be very competitive today, but I can’t see it being enough. Scarlets, led by the Chief at hooker have stars all over the park, they welcome back a whole string of Welsh internationals and Jon Davies has only made the bench. I expect this side to be the single biggest contributor to the Lions tour in the summer, and they all gel so well with 9 of them currently playing for Wales. It is just too big of an ask for Sale to come here and get away with a victory
