Really disappointing weekend just gone, but this week we are onto a winner in the Gallagher Premiership. I have 4 games for you that are real money makers, these will make up for last week and put you well into profit, I also have my first MAX BET for you on friday night. The only good to come out of last weekend is that Wales look very good for the Championship now (advised at 5/1), and they are the only team that can still take home the Grand Slam (advised at 14/1). Lets look forward to this week.

Bristol vs Gloucester 1/3/19 19:45 KO

How wrong was I to move away from Gloucester last week. They are really showing they can compete at the top table now, back to back wins over Exeter and Saracens is an achievement nobody can claim they have done for a very long time. Ackerman will have it drilled into his players this week that all of that hard work beating the top two teams in the country will have been for nothing if the slip up at 11th placed Bristol Friday night. I don’t expect them to slip up and i expect them to show again why they are no longer such dark horses to win the Championship. Bristol have been very hit and miss this season, and average 30 points at home, but they just struggle to plug their defence up, which when you are playing a backline as exciting as the cherry and whites you could end up conceding 50 points

Gloucester -4 handicap MAX BET (10/11 various bookmakers)

Bath vs Harlequins 2/3/19 15:00 KO

This is a tough one to call, Quins have been flying recently, shown by their rise to 3rd in the table. Bath will feel hard done by getting beat in the last play of the game at Northampton last week, but I find myself siding with Quins, since Robshaw’s return from injury they seem to have stepped up another level and Paul Gustard’s systems are working for this team, so playing the handicap is a no brainer here.

Harlequins +6 handicap (10/11 Betfair/Bet365/Betfred, others not priced up yet)

Saracens vs Northampton 2/3/19 15:00 KO

Saracens quite often suffer at this time of year with so much of their squad being involved with the internationals, I was very disappointed with their performance last Friday, and to be honest the final result flattered them, they didn’t even deserve a losing bonus point out of that match, but did keep fighting to the final whistle, earning themselves a point out of Nowhere. Saints on the other hand spent 99% of their match at home with Bath looking like they were going to lose, but as Sarries did, they kept fighting to the end and stole victory from the jaws of defeat. They are still a side on the up and the mixture of youth and experience at the moment is really working for them. Again as with Quins I quite fancy Saints to cause an upset, so I will be playing the handicap for some safety.

Northampton +9 handicap ( 10/11 Bet365/Betfair/Paddy power, others not yet priced up)

Newcastle vs Worcester 3/3/19 15:00 KO

What a battle this could be, a huge match in the context of the season. If Newcastle are going to stay up this is a must win game. They have the team to be in a much better position than they are, it’s a very similar team that finished in the playoffs last season, and the threat they have out wide is enough to scare any team in Europe (just ask Toulon and Montpellier). Worcester I am really struggling to see where they are going and what game plan they are trying to play, they just seem to muddle through games hoping for the best at the moment. There is no doubt about their heart and fight, but that will only get you so far and that will take its toll more and more as the season wears on.

Newcastle -4 handicap (10/11 Bet365/Betfair/skybet and others)

Play the doubles/trebles and Acca this week which pays 13/1 and also the single MAX BET

Good luck all, fingers crossed for a big weekend
