Unlucky last week really, The performance from Bristol to down Gloucester was unbelievable, but at the same time Gloucester blew chance after chance, and didn’t play to the level we are used to. Maybe the 2 weekends before, beating Sarries and Exeter took a little more out of them than first thought. Saints took an hour to wake up at Saracens as well, and when you play a side like them, you are going to be on the wrong end of the scoreboard. This weekend we welcome back week 4 of the 6 nations, we will leave the ireland/france game alone this week, as the french are so unpredictable at the moment and i am yet to be convinced by this ireland side in the championship, so the way this game is priced up it doesnt interest me. We have a couple of interesting ties in the Premiership which i will come to later, but lets start with the internationals.

Scotland vs Wales 9/3/19 14:15KO

One of the oldest rivalries in world rugby and the can only be one winner for me. I think the rest week came at a perfect time for the Welsh, after the emotional high of that fantastic performance in Cardiff, the Welsh may have struggled a week later to put in the same sort of performance. But with the extra week break, the players have had a bit of time back with their families and a bit of down time before coming back into camp this week. I really think they could put on a sparkling performance for us saturday. The Scots do welcome back a couple of key players, but they just arent on the same levels at the moment. This will be a one sided affair. (NAP)

Wales -4 handicap (evs betfair,bet365,bet victor, others 10/11)

England vs Italy 9/3/19 16:45KO

England will win, there is no doubt to this and it will be comfortable, but i won’t be the first to hold my hands up and say how impressed i have been with italy. I dismissed them pre tournament as being basically a guaranteed 5 points to each team. But its not been the case. They have been in all three games so far and led Ireland for large parts of the game 2 weeks ago. They may struggle to contain this huge english centre partnership but at the same time could try and turn it to their advantage with ball in hand. Connor O’Shea is a very shrewd coach and he will have a plan. This wont be a walk in the park as many think

Italy +33 handicap (evs bet365, betfair, skybet, bet victor, others 10/11)

Wasps vs Newcastle 9/3/19 14:00KO

An interesting encounter, Wasps were unlucky last week in a really hard fought game at Welford Road. Newcastle on the other hand scored a crucial win at home to a rudderless Worcester. This week will be different and Wasps will be a very different team to Worcester. At home they have a very good record and seem to be playing some much better rugby. If Newcastle can come away with a losing bonus point they will take that and run for the hills

Wasps -11 handicap (generally 10/11)

Northampton vs Bristol 9/3/19 14:45KO

Two very different performances last week, Saints just folded at Sarries and i think there will be a response to that back at the Gardens. Bristol were great friday night and fought tooth and nail for their 4 points. But they have struggled away from home this year. Saints will be looking for a huge home performance and i can see this being actually quite one sided in the 2nd half

Northampton -9 handicap (10/11 across the board)

Harlequins vs Gloucester 10/3/19 14:00KO

Quins are the only team in England still unbeaten in 2019, they are playing some great rugby and as they are only missing one player to international duty they are making hay during this international window. Gloucester were not good enough friday night, blew too many chances and gifted the Game to Bristol. Their away form is nowhere near as good as when they are at home and i think Quins will have too much for them in the shadow of Twickenham on sunday

Harlequins -4 handicap (10/11 across the board

Good luck all, big weekend
