What a way to kick things off!!! For me, this is the tightest 6 Nations in years, where you could make an argument for any 5 of the Nations winning it… Sorry Italy!!!
There seems to be a gulf emerging again between Italy and the other nations. I wouldn’t put this down to Italy being any worse than in recent years, just the others look a lot stronger and are all now competing and winning against the big 3 Southern Hemisphere sides as they showed in the Autumn.
I will post a suggested treble for each round of games within my member tips section, alongside normal weekly domestic games, but I have a couple of tournament bets worth a second look
As I said above, this year is very competitive. Ireland would be an obvious choice as they are flying high with both club and country, but they are too shorter price for me when having to travel away to both Cardiff and Edinburgh. England you can make an argument for, but they also have two nasty away ties opening this weekend in Dublin and then going to Cardiff later on.
That leaves me leaning towards the Welsh fence. If they can get off to a good start in a huge match in Paris on Friday night, then they have the potential to not only win the tournament but possibly go on to win another Grand Slam. It is a big advantage to them this year having both England and Ireland having to come to Cardiff, so however much it pains me to say, this is where my money will be going

Top Tournament Try Scorer
This follows suit with above, one man who has really found his mojo since moving back to play in his homeland is George North. This man seems like a different player in a Wales shirt and I think he is going to have a big Tournament
George North, 14/1 with Unitbet, otherwise generally 12/1.
