I am not sure if you could have such an unlucky 8/1 loser as we had last week. With England throwing away a 31 point lead and Italy should have beaten France by 15-20 points, one bad bounce off the post and dropping the ball over the line. It just wasn’t meant to be. For those that did listen to previous bets though, Northampton Saints went on to lift the Premiership cup getting us a nice win advised at 5/2. Also the Welsh lifted the 6nations crown advised at 5/1 and the Grand slam advised at 14/1. All in all a successful weekend and a full wallet for those that played.

This weekend we welcome the Premiership back, I have four games for you this weekend we are going to have a crack at, and where better to start than a feisty East Midlands derby

Leicester vs Northampton 22/3/19 19:45ko

What a cracking match this could be, Tigers welcome back their England contingent which should give them some extra firepower, but quite often we find that the players coming back from these 6 nations squads take a couple of weeks to bed back in. I think there will be a bit of a hangover from last weekend and it often unsettles a squad with the reintroduction of so many players. Saints on the other hand only welcome back one player, a Grand Slam winner at that. They are also off the back of a superb performance last weekend putting a trophy in their cabinet for the first time since 2014. I really think they can get a win at Welford road Friday night, but nicking a few points on the handicap plays it safe and gets a win in the bank to start the weekend

northampon -4 handicap (10/11 across the board)

Bristol vs Worcester 23/3/19 15:00ko

Two teams that seem to being going in very different directions. This is our banker of the week. After performance over the last few weeks, you can not bet against Bristol. They are playing some very inventive attcking rugby and Pat Lamb has to be very happy with where the side are at the moment. Worcester on the other hand are lost, I said a couple of weeks ago the looked rudderless and I stand by that. I just can’t see a game plan or how they want to play at the moment. I fully expect a big home win here which could put the first nail in the Worcester relegation coffin.

Bristol -7 handicap (10/11 across the board)

Gloucester vs Wasps 23/3/19 15:00ko

One winner here for me, wasps are so hit and miss at the moment, I can’t back them. Gloucester are back to turning Kingsholm into a fortress. They are playing so stunning rugby with Cips pulling the strings at 10 and Heinz controlling the pace of the game they are opening up defences with ease. They are in a good place and a win this weekend will go a long way to cementing a position in the top 4. Hopefully they will put on a big performance.

Gloucester -9 handicap (10/11 across the board)

Newcastle vs Sale 23/3/19 17:30ko

very interesting game at kingsholm Saturday evening, I’m still not sure what to think of this Sale team, they have flashes of brilliance mixed in with a lot of very average play. Newcastle seem to have found their mojo with a couple of big wins on the bounce, Dean Richards even cracked a smile after the Wasps win and that is more rare than an Italy 6 nations win. I am getting the feeling they have found their form from last season at the right time of the year to get themselves out of trouble. Toby Flood is controlling the game and they will welcome Mark Wilson back from the England camp with open arms. It’s a Newcastle win for me to keep the run going

Newcastle win (13/10 betfair, others showing 6/5)

play the doubles trebles and Acca this week to string some winning multiples together, acca pays 16/1

good luck all
